| unique.DotA says goodbye to unique|Ducky |
In the last couple of days, the professional DotA scene has seen alot of change; Aeon disbanded, which in turn sent KuroKy to Ravens, who became the new MyM.DotA. Furthermore, Fnatic took over Aeon's sponsor and tag, becoming Eryc's new wonderchildren - which was later revoked by contract-issues, between the players and the fnatic organization. Unique.DotA was largely unaffected by these changes in the DotA scene, until the new Aeon/Fnatic DotA approached Donald-Duck, the captain of unique.DotA, with an offer to join their squad, with all the bonuses that includes. So it is with mutual remorse, but also respect, that unique.DotA and the unique organization parts with Donald-Duck.
We asked players unique|Valeur and Donald-Duck about the situation:

Donald-Duck is leaving the squad - what will that mean for you?
"Today is obviously a sad day for unique.DotA - we are losing not only our leader, captain and drafter, but also the glue that bound us all together, no matter how gay that sounds. Donald-Duck handpicked the team, made us function together and even though we have had our up's and down's (we are currently in a down, losing our last matches to UCP and nfinity) he always stayed by the team and kept our morale up."
What will be done in order to get back on right course?
"As I saw it, when I was first presented with the news, was that either we could lay down and die, the team would disband either to other teams or to nothingness and our sponsors would be left hanging - or we could fight through the slump and come out as a stronger team. After talking intensively with the administration and with Ducky, we've decided that it will be as was also Ducky's wish: the team will go on without him, and we will try to use this momentary loss to our favor, creating a team that will be even stronger and more stable than the one before."
"There is no doubt that the task set ahead of us will be a tough one, and it will require patience and effort from everyone. It will also require alot of changes, since we have to fill the void that will be created in Ducky's absence. As an initial solution, the team and the management decided that I'll take up the role as the team's leader, including every aspect. This will be a temporary solution, since I'm not the best drafter and player, nor the best ingame captain, but I am the most senior member and the one with best ties to the players and the organization."
"This also mean that the unique|Valeur that you all knew and loved for being an unserious asshole will be laid to rest, and a new more serious player will arise from the ashes; unique|Longwolf. All jokes aside, I am excited to see how this goes."

"A big farewell to Donald-Duck - sometimes a man just gotta do, what a man gotta do, and everybody in the rooster understands and respects his descision."

So, how come you decided to leave unique.DotA?
"As many has noticed, I have been playing a lot of official matches for Fnatic/AEON.int lately and the team really is something special in my point of view. Some days ago they told me about their future plans and they hoped they could include me in these even though I stood leading my own team. I been thinking about this matter before, whether I should go for it or not. This time I just couldn't help my self; I played a lot games with them and love the guys at Fnatic/AEON.int, we all fit together socially and thats whats most important for them at the moment and with their plans."
"The upcoming tournament in Malaysia will somehow be the battle for the world - EU, America and Asia will all bring their best teams, at least that is what the guys from AEON.int is hoping for. To be a part of that would be the biggest you could acomplish as a gamer. So my reasons for leaving unique-esports, a team I build up myself are very selfish, but the litle boy inside of me can't stop thinking about what an experience this could turn out to be. Secondly I spoke with the guys at Fnatic/AEON.int if they were sure I was the right add, and they all seemed to agree that only I at the moment could fit in. And if Loda gets to SMM, I want him to be as happy and confident as ever, so he and the team won't dissapoint the fans in Asia, and if im the guy to add to make this happen, well then I must be there."
What do you think will happen with the team, when you leave?
"I've spoken with the unique team about this and we all had a talk about it, and I'm pleased to say that the guys all seem in an okay mood and they are all willing to fight even harder now to get to the top. Whether they will succed will not be my responsibility anymore, as it was before, but the entire team's responsibility. How ever I will still support them as much as I can, and try helping them out to find their own pace. These guys are special to me, and all close friends of mine, I wish them the best luck and together with the great organisation that unique-esports is, I hope and think they will reach their goal."

"I want to thank unique-esports for the great time we shared together, I truly love you guys, all of you, even the british cunts sitting in the lobby screaming whenever you get on ventrilo. Whenever somethings great ends, usually something great new will blossom. Thx for everything."
